Recent research on highly trained athletes has revealed some effective results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Move Faster<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cyclists who took <strong>300 milligrams (mg) of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)<\/strong> for eight days <em>increased their sprinting speed<\/em> and <em>reduced their levels of fatigue<\/em>. The supplement may also <em>reduce inflammation<\/em> following a hard workout or race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Stay Healthy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Long-term endurance training<\/strong> requires a delicate balance. It naturally produced glutathione in the body, but stress, pollution, aging, and many other factors can deplete it. This antioxidant substance <em>boosts strength and endurance in athletes<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Play Smarter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Athletes recovered faster from sprinting and made quicker decisions after drinking <strong>high-nitrate beet juice<\/strong> for a week. The findings seem beneficial for players in sports that involve <em>prolonged, intermittent exercise<\/em>, such as rugby, football, or soccer. Participants drank about 4.7 ounces of beet juice daily and saw <em>improvements of 3.5% in sprint performance and 3 percent in decision-making speed<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Recover Better<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drinking <strong>tart cherry&nbsp;juice<\/strong> helps <em>prevent inflammation, oxidative stress, arterial stiffness, and pain<\/em>&nbsp;after intense physical exercise. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeextension.com\/magazine\/2013\/6\/anti-inflammatory-properties-of-tart-cherry\/page-01\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">One study<\/a> showed that drinking 12 ounces of a tart cherry juice blend for 8 consecutive days <em>preserved more strength in fatigued muscles after exercise compared to a placebo<\/em>.
