December is a busy time of year for everyone and, although it’s a happy time of year with lots of family get-togethers and celebrations, it can also be a time of extreme stress. And so with that in mind, here are a few suggestions for helping relieve stress during this season.
PGX Stress Relief Tips:
- Exercise: We know; it seems like there’s not enough time in the day! But trust us, after a 30-60 minute bout of physical exercise, which could be anything from a walk to a gym session, your mind will feel clearer and your body will have released some endorphins that are sure to put a smile on your face. Plus! At the end of the day, your body will be physically tired and you’ll be able to fall asleep without stressing about all of the things you have to do tomorrow.
- Eat Well: Again, we know this one can be hard around this time of year, but the old saying, “You are what you eat,” applies here. Feed your body fresh fruits and veggies and protein rather than processed foods and your body will feel fresh and energized rather than sluggish and slow. Note, that it’s okay to treat yourself every once in awhile; just don’t over do it!
- Prevent Stress Eating: Take PGX and reduce sugar cravings and between meal snacking. This will also help you stay on track with Tip #2.
- Get a Good Night’s Sleep: Try and get in a good 8 hours this month. You may think that finishing up that one chore at 11:30 pm makes more sense than heading to bed and picking up tomorrow but the truth is that you’ll be much more productive the following day after a good 8 hours sleep.
- Make Time for Yourself: Just because you’re busy, don’t forget that this is a great time of year to go see special events or get together with friends. Make sure that you’re enjoying all of the hard work you’re doing!
