DHA Memory Improvement: The Most Important Brain Nutrient!

There are 3 major mechanisms to consider:

  1.  DHA is anti-inflammatory, which protects the brain from damage.
  2.  It maintains the integrity of the cell membrane, which enhances communication between brain cells. This is extremely important for memory.
  3.  It actually helps heal already-damaged brain tissue via compounds called protections. In fact, this is what DHA does as soon as stroke, seizure, or any other traumatic injury damaged the brain. So not having enough DHA can be detrimental in these cases, since the brain cannot heal itself as efficiently as it could with healthy DHA levels.
