Detox – A Great Way to Make a Fresh Start

Detoxification or cleanses are one of the basic foundations of good health and natural healing. Most of us have considered cleansing and know we could stand to benefit from it, but we just keep putting it off and continue to bombard our bodies with greasy foods, fats, alcohol & sweets. We often complaining about how tired we feel and notice that we’ve put on a few extra pounds, but we keep promising ourselves that things will change.  Is that next week?  Next month? Next year?  Unfortunately things rarely do ever change and we get back into our usual routines.  Don’t you think it’s time you finally take charge of your health, cleanse your body and make that change?

If so, a great way to start is through detoxification. In fact, a good detox program cleanses the intestinal tract, the urinary tract, the liver, gallbladder, the blood and lymphatic system. Talk about a clean sweep! Proper detoxification should include a wholesome diet focused on alkaline forming foods and should also include lots of pure water and moderate exercise.

The advantage of a detox diet or cleansing program is that you can eat like royalty, as long as what you eat are primarily alkaline foods.  All foods can be classified as acid forming, neutral or alkaline-forming. You may already know that all foods can be classified as acid forming, neutral, or alkaline forming. The typical modern diet is weighted heavily on the acidic side due to processed grains, conventional meats, sugars, and unhealthy fats.

The truth is that the body prefers a more alkaline state, but that’s not where most of us land. And since many health problems result fro our bodies being overly acid (90 percent of people), a good detoxification program addresses the acid-alkaline balance of food.

This means a number of ditary changes and an increase in fluids and supplement intake for 12 days. Not suprisingly, a good detox program doesn’t allow any flour products (cakes, cookies, breads, pasta, etc.), dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.), tropical fruits (pineapple, papaya, bananas, kiwi, etc.), dreid fruits, processed foods, or preservatives.

The key to making your detoxification experience a success is to keep it s easy as possible for you to manage your eating. For your convenience, the Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox kit comes with a complete meal plan and dietary suggestions, including alkaline foods, to help ensure that you get the most out of the 12-day program. Simply put, it doesn’t get any easier than this.

You may be wondering what happens during detoxification. The liver, kidney and intestinal tract are the primary organs of detoxification. The liver plays several roles in detoxification: it filters the blood to remove large toxins; it synthesizes and secretes bile, which is full of cholesterol and fat-soluble toxins; and it has an enzyme system that disassembles unwanted chemicals.  Some of the built up toxins will be neutralized and excreted in urine and feces, while other toxins are stored in fat and bone tissue, but need to be dealt with as well. Likewise, the skin and lungs play a role to some degree in the elimination of toxins.

A quality detox should also contain supplements to actively cleanse the blood, intestinal tract, kidneys, and lymphatic system. These supplements, along with the diet, encourage the body to release waste materials and toxins that have accumulated in the body since last cleansing. A full-body cleanse can help to eliminate heavy metals, chemical toxins, microbial compounds, and the breakdown products of protein metabolism.

Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox has been used clinically for over 30 years and is one of the most popular cleanses available in Canada. Now, thanks to Garden of Life, it is available in the U.S.  The Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox kit consists of three sets of capsules (for the intestinal tract, liver/gallbladder, and blood/lymphatic system) and a liquid tincture (for the urinary and lymphatic system). The capsules and tincture are each taken twice daily.

Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox  is also a great way to kick start any program, so whether your goal is to lose more weight, remove Candida, improve liver function, or just flat out change your entire lifestyle you’ll have created a great foundation with this kit.

The detox kit is meant to be taken for 12 days and, once completed, you’ve successfully made that fresh start and your body should feel it. So stop putting off until later what you can do now. Now is the time to take control of your life and make a change for the better!
