Vitamin A may prevent night blindness, enchance immunity, and be needed for maintenance and repair of epithelial tissue. It may act as an antioxidant, aid in utilization of protein, and fade age spots. Beta Carotene is a related class of carotenoid which is converted into vitamin A in the liver. Vitamin A can be found singly, combined with vitamin D, combined with vitamins C and E, or in a multivitamin. It is found in animal livers, broccoli, peaches, and apricots. Please do not take more than 25,000 IU of vitamin A per day.
